About the Kids Graphic Novel Festival

We have always loved kids graphic novels here, and celebrating them with their own special day has been among the best things we've ever undertaken as a bookstore. Borne out both by their sales in the store and with the enthusiasm that kids greet them, we know that these are the books that kids want. Our first Festival in 2023 attracted more than 2,000 attendees, and 2024's and 2025's Festival drew more than 3,000, cementing this day of joy for children and families as a permanent spot on our calendar.

People have come from all over New England and beyond. In our second year, we incorporated a third stage for events. We host more than a dozen panels, talks, and/or drawing demos across these three stages, and when they are not on stage (or taking a break), presenters are on hand in the author tent to sign books and chat with attendees.

Our fourth annual Festival will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, and we hope to see you there. In each of the first three years, the joy was something you could see on people's faces and feel in the air all throughout the day, and we hope to share that special feeling with our community every year.
