Spring Fling Event Details for WAVMA Members

Event Time: 9 AM - 3 PM

If you don’t respond to the survey by the deadline, your participation will not be noted on the Spring Fling Event Page of our website. You can still take part even if you miss the deadline.

What is the Spring Fling?

The Spring Fling is an event designed to inspire locals to enjoy a fun day in West Acton Village following the Acton-Boxborogh United Way’s annual 5K Walk/Run for Mental Health. The race brings people to the Village! With family-friendly activities and special offers at the surrounding businesses, it’s a fun way to keep people in the area and shopping small!

Non-retail / service-based businesses often participate by offering small events or activities to draw people to their business. Community involvement will increases their presence in town and their name recognition.

  • Apr 10: Please respond to the Spring Fling Survey by April 10, 2026. Participating members will be not on the Spring Fling Event page on our website.

    Apr 1 - May 9: Share information about the Spring Fling with customers in person and online.

    May 9: Spring Fling from 9 AM - 3 PM.

  • WAVMA is offering balloons and flowers to participating members. To request your, be sure to complete the survey by April 10.

    Share the event on social media. Find a graphic here.

  • We suggest businesses promote fun activities, special offers/freebies, or host a larger event. These will be noted on the website to encourage visitors to make their way through the village to each of the actively participating businesses.

    • Special Offer: This could be a discount on specific items or store-wide during the Spring Fling, a coupon for future use, or a BOGO-style offer.

    • Activity: This could include anything from face painting to free samples.

    • Event: Examples may include hiring a petting zoo or having a performance at a designated time.

  • Other activities will be added to this space as they are confirmed.

    • 10:00 AM AB United Way West Acton 5K + 1-Mile Fun Run for Mental Health

    Activities will added to the event page once the survey is complete. Respond by April 10.

  • Please volunteer to help make this a wonderful event! Volunteer opportunities will be shared soon.
